Title: Warehouse Manager

Overview:
The warehouse manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of a warehouse facility. They manage inventory, supervise warehouse staff, and ensure that all warehouse activities comply with safety regulations and quality standards. The warehouse manager plays a critical role in optimizing warehouse processes to maximize productivity and minimize costs.

Responsibilities:
Inventory Management: Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of inventory in the warehouse. Ensure accurate inventory tracking and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand.
Warehouse Operations: Plan and coordinate warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, picking, packing, and inventory control. Implement efficient workflows and procedures to maximize productivity and minimize errors.
Supervision of Warehouse Staff: Manage and provide leadership to warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation. Ensure that all staff adhere to safety guidelines and quality standards.
Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and regulatory compliance within the warehouse facility. Conduct regular safety inspections, provide safety training to staff, and ensure that equipment is properly maintained.
Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory. Perform regular audits and inspections to identify and address any quality issues.
Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate maintenance and repairs for warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems. Ensure that equipment is properly serviced and in good working condition to prevent disruptions to warehouse operations.
Space Utilization: Optimize warehouse layout and storage configurations to maximize space utilization and efficiency. Implement strategies for organizing inventory to facilitate easy retrieval and minimize handling time.
Vendor Management: Liaise with vendors and suppliers to coordinate deliveries, resolve issues, and negotiate pricing and terms. Maintain positive relationships with vendors to ensure timely and reliable supply of inventory.
Performance Tracking and Reporting: Monitor warehouse performance metrics, such as order fulfillment rates, inventory turnover, and labor productivity. Generate reports and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field. (Equivalent work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.)
Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in warehouse management or logistics, with a demonstrated track record of success in optimizing warehouse operations.
Strong knowledge of warehouse processes, inventory management principles, and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements related to warehouse operations (e.g., OSHA, FDA).
