Short Description:

A Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, and safety regulations are met. They manage production schedules, supervise staff, and coordinate resources to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime. Production Managers also troubleshoot production issues, implement process improvements, and ensure adherence to company policies. Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of production workflows are essential for success in this role.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Planning and organizing production schedules.
  • Assessing project and resource requirements.
  • Estimating, negotiating, and agreeing on budgets and timescales with clients and managers.
  • Determining quality control standards.
  • Overseeing production processes.
  • Re-negotiating timescales or schedules as necessary.
  • Selecting, ordering, and purchasing materials.
  • Organizing the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment.
  • Liaison with buyers, marketing, and sales staff.
