Short Description:

A Risk Manager is responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks that could impact an organization's financial, operational, or strategic objectives. They develop and implement risk management policies, conduct audits, and analyze data to minimize threats related to compliance, security, and business continuity. Risk Managers collaborate with leadership to create strategies that balance risk and reward while ensuring regulatory compliance. They also oversee insurance policies, conduct crisis management planning, and provide recommendations to enhance organizational resilience. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and strategic thinking are essential for success in this role.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Document and ensure communication of critical risks.
  • Maintain input or data quality of risk management systems.
  • Recommend ways to control or reduce risk.
  • Identify key risks and mitigating factors of potential investments, such as asset types and values, legal and ownership structures, professional reputations, customer bases, or industry segments.
  • Devise systems and processes to monitor the validity of risk modeling outputs.
  • Gather risk-related data from internal or external resources.
  • Identify and analyze areas of potential risk to organizations' assets, earning capacity, or success.
  • Develop or implement risk-assessment models or methodologies.
  • Produce reports or presentations that outline findings, explain risk positions, or recommend changes.
  • Plan, and contribute to the development of risk management systems.
